Every so often a product comes along that you wonder how you did without it. The Baxley Sport Chock is one of these products. If you race, ride, trailer, work on or have a motorcycle, you need a Baxley Sport Chock.

The design lets you ride your bike right into the chock, get off and walk away. No sidestand or rear stand needed. No more fumbling for a stand when returning to the pits, or relying on the kindness of pit neighbors to secure your motorcycle. The bike is held firmly in the top part of the chock allowing no side-to-side rocking. The pivoting bottom plate has a locking tab that prevents fore and aft motion. The legs of the sport chock extend out far enough to prevent even the heaviest of bikes from tipping over sideways.

Once locked in getting on and off the bike, doing repairs, setting up suspension or nearly any other pit activity can be accomplished without fear of your bike crashing to the pavement. I’ve jumped up and down to settle the suspension before setting static sag with my racebike in the Sport Chock and never gave a second thought to stability, it really is that sturdy.

The Sport Chock can also be used to lock your bike into position while transporting. I’ve always been a little wary of just using tie-downs while trailering a bike. The more tie-downs the better, and it never seems like you’ve got it quite secure enough. I always have visions of the bike falling over and the fairing meeting an untimely end on the way to or from a race meeting. I don’t even worry about it with the Sport Chock. You still need to tie down the bike at the rear, but when used in conjunction with the Sport Chock your visions of shattered plastics and dented petrol tanks are gone.

Sport Chocks might not be the cheapest piece of pit equipment you will ever buy, but compare the price to replacing a fairing or removing a dent from a petrol tank, and the Sport Chock pays for itself pretty quickly. Not to mention the convenience of parking a racebike without a struggle and the peace of mind when transporting it around.
